Aucilla Trip

Post by FTReelty »

Went Saturday with my son to Aucilla. Started at daylight with a slight drizzle nd headed out thru the cutoff to the stake line. Fished in 7-8 feet of water. Water temp was 82 degrees. Caught 6 keeper trout pretty quick, largest was 21 inches. Made several drifts and the tide slowed about 9:30 and the sun came out. Moved a little and picked up 4 more by 12:00. Had 9 rock bass as a bonus. Headed in to the East of the river in 3-4 feet and caught 1 nice red. Used a combo of gulps and z-manns. Pearl was color of choice. They seem to like the gulps better(everything from cats to lizard fish),but not near as durable. I like the z-manns...Back at landing by 2:00. Great day on water.
