Always Check Your Deer Stands

Post by John21:6 »

The directions for every deer stand that I’ve ever assembled, include the same warning— check your stand before using it every time. It’s great advice, but it’s hard to do in the dark early mornings when you meant to be up in the stand 20 minutes earlier.

On a dark early morning last November, I should’ve checked my stand before climbing up into it.

After sunrise, I learned I was not alone.

Dad Gum! That would make most jump out of their stand-least not poison.
