I am an official, accredited, vacationing, key lime pie tester.

Wherever we travel in the Southern states, I test key lime pie. :lick:

I have eaten yellow sawdust, called key lime pie, but I have also eaten pie that starts music playing, birds singing, a little curl to the edge of the tongue and an overwhelming sense of well being. :o

Mmmmmmmm key lime pie. :lick:

I am also taking my final examinations, in pecan pie testing, ready for the visit in October. :)

Cran, I'm not going to make the bash. I would love to be there but I have a prior commitment. However, if the boss(wife) is agreeable, I'll send you a Key lime pie with Tom Keels. Wish I could be there to help you eat it. I might warn you, she has been known to make these pies with one slice missing. Don't know how she does that.:D

I'm not sure. Tom is a very nice guy. Helped me out in a big way a few weeks ago. However, in the process of helping me, he definately revealed he likes to eat. If there's more than the one silce my wife leaves out of the pie missing, he's probably the culpret.

I hate to blow my own horn... :D

I have been known to make a rather mean Key Lime Pie myself. It has been requested more than once at office functions.

However, the pie will be safe with me. I have to maintain my girlish figure so I stay away from some food groups such as the whipped and chocoltastic, and focus on the fried group and the congeled group.

Cranfield,
Just curious......are you pronouncing that pee-can pie, or is it pa-con? You've probably got it figured out how we Southerner's say it. My cousin in Ontario says, "Isn't that a can you pee in?" I always just act like I don't get it.

No doubt you can cook, Tom. From posts I've read on this site, as well as the FS site, you are definately a cooking legend in your own mind.....uh..time

Crafield is the master at confusing pretty littlle young naive southern waitresses.
I witnessed him confuse one so bad, all she could do was smile and nod.

Then HE resorted to the point and nod method:D

I live in a pecan orchard. How many pies do you think I've eaten since boyhood.
My mother-in-law always cooks 2 pecan pies for each family function.
1 for the table and 1 for me :lick:
I like them still warm form the oven with vanilla ice cream the low cal kind of course...NOT
It's a small world, unless you had to paint it.
