Put in at Bottoms at daylight and almost no water and about the same on visability Took 2 hours ta go the 2 1/2 miles to the spot I wanted ta try and found NO fish there 30 foot hole sournded by Oyster bars and only two fish show on the finder and none on the hok. After several hours of no sucsess, I headed back towards Bottoms and found fish less than a 1/4 mile from the landing Ended up catching around 40 or 50 fish on the flats "3 to 4 foot" and not a one was a keeper It was still fun and a lot better than working though
At least you got to feel the tug from a few!
I always think about how many fish I pass over on the
way out to a spot.
Way to stick with it and find the fish.
even if they were littlens....
SR, it was so foggy that several times I could not see were my jig or lure landed I had a couple hits on a Top Dog Chug but overal they mainly hit the 6" Chartuese Curly Tail onder a CT worked realllll slowwwwww This is the first time I've used the extra long curlt tails and they seemed ta like the extra size
I've got a friend here at work that has been bust'n his fanny to find some ducks this year..... He's been from Panacea (guided hunt) to PCS ...East of Tallahassee and everywhere in between with terrible results. I hesitate to mention your observations.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
