Kinda like her first driving lesson I gave her in 1974. Popped the clutch in reverse, gas peddle to the floor, backwards down a long dirt drive with me hanging half in and half out of the passenger side. Dirt being thrown into the open door. Her screaming at the top of her lungs (me too by the time we got to the end of the drive.) Knocked the mailbox down, and landed backwards in the ditch. Her next driving lesson from me came 10 years later.

Your right. That was her first (and last) lesson on backing down to a ramp, ANY ramp.

I will be awaiting the field trials on this one. They have been recommended to me by a few people. Like you, I also am neck deep in ABU's, but all of mine are C3's, with only one C4, which was added this year. My C4 seems to operate fine, but it makes a lot of noise. It also seemed loaded with clods of factory grease. One of my fishing partners bought a C4 the same day I did and has constant line control problems with his.
I would like to hear about that rod also, 'cause it is hard to find a good light action bait casting rod and I am not to keen on ordering rods, because I like to hold'em in my hand to see how they feel first.

FM...If you want a good ML look at the Crank'n stick at BassPro for $50.00 it is nice....The TTF is nice as well, it is more limber than the crank'n stik and real light...Both are under 75.00 dollars
The C4 manual says to set the cast control you give the rod a slight shake..That is not like a C3 and was very inconsistent...I could never get the cast control to set right and stay right...I cleaned the reel and oiled it, several times....I will continue to use my C3s, but no more C4s for me...
I can bring my rod to the Social if you want me too...

Chalk, yeah bring that rod. I like the limber rods for slinging weightless soft plastics, and other light lures. I would love to check it out. If I like it, I will be ordering a couple for sure. I am in the process of downsizing all of my gear, and have had considerable difficulty finding rods that I like. Looks like I had better sign up for the social now. Put me down for some "franks and beans"
