These slick new lines can be slicker than eels when tying them to heavier mono bite tippet leaders. I wanted to tie a 10-pound PowerPro to a 40 pound leader. Best combo that worked perfectly was a Perfection knot in the end of the PowerPro and then a simple Figure 8 knot to it with the 40-pound stuff. Repeatedly when I put that combo on a scales and snatched it hard, the 10-pound PowerPro always broke ABOVE the knot at 11-pounds. Sure beats the complex knot the manufacturer suggests. Try it, you'll like it.

Uni/Uni works for me. But I double the PP with a spider hitch first.

When you do your uni to uni, do you use 6 loops on the leader? I can do 3 and it seems to work better.
