Slid the boat in at 6:30, and headed out by 7. Wind was out of the NW about 5-10, and the water temp inshore at the surface was 57 degrees. Two foot chop to K-tower, getting rougher as I went farther offshore. Caught a decent AJ on a diamond spoon, and went to my first grouper hole. Lots of shorts, and then a very nice 30" gag. Then, nothing.
Went to two more holes, but triggers and sea bass were all that was there. Didn't want to scale down for those, as I had two nice fish already. Made it in at 12, and the wind was up to 10k, and out of the west.
In the box: 34" (fork) AJ, 30" gag (measured!).

I was being kind with the two foot. It started there, and went up a bit, then went down at 12. I had to run about 12-14k, no faster, for 6.5 miles at one point, right into the head sea. But I made it back alive...wevans wrote:WTG EJthat two foot chop looked mighty formidable to my Bass boat this mornin
