We slayed 'em, keeper after keeper after keeper

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Took my son in law and nephew out of the Lighthouse about 8 this morning. We headed east . Stopped south of Black Rock. Nada. Went towards Peters Rock. Stopped fished. Nada. More towards Peters Rock. Stopped, fished. Nada. Moved further east. Stopped fished. Nada. Moved on to Cobb Rocks. Stopped Fished. 17,18,19,20,17,18,19,20, and so on for two hours.Lots of 15/16 mixed in with them. We kept throwing those back, hoping to get our 3 over 20.
Folks were calling on the radio asking for fish. So we gave fish away and kept fishing. All totaled over 55 keepers and only 11 shorts.
Candy Corn and Hot Pink straight grubs worked real slow on the bottom.
Water; dingy
Temp; 67-72
Seas; calm
Tide;rising

Chalk: I got 'em iced down real good.
MAKO: People were parked all along the ditches at the Lighthouse.
And bumper to bumper on the flats.
