Saint Marks Refuge Reopens

Post by Sir reel »

Democrat reported this morning.
http://www.tallahassee.com/mld/tallahassee/12165167.htm

The article didn't say anything regarding the launching area so I called the refuge to check. They said that one of the Biologist had checked the canal and reported some minor silting but no "significant" changes since Dennis. They indicated that no base line data had been collected prior to Dennis but that they have now started to collect so the depth/condition can be monitored. I specifically ask about the "skinny" part right at the mouth and that was when they said there should be no appreciable difference. I plan on being a bit more cautious and not take for granted that all is as it was for the first couple of trips.

Thanks, SR. Now, how about I give you a few places to check. If you don't tear your boat up, I'll know it's OK for me to run mine. :-D
What was I supposed to do today?
