Trim tabs

Post by arcadiainc »

Put a set of the nauticus trim tabs on my boat a couple years ago. They work great. However I did blow one of the hydraulic shock devices. I just put it on the left side of the boat and things work as well as always. It works so well I keep forgetting to order a new one. The boat is 15.5 feet with a 70 merc. I took the lower unit trim tab off. It was a cheapie and ugly as dirt. My boat got faster with out it. The lower edge transom mounted trim tabs took up the slack in performance. The boat pops on a plane and is much more stable turning. I think I bought them from Boater's World. A hundred or so bucks.
