You mentioned harvesting rainbow trout with "seines".

I appreciate you meant seine nets, but I was following the fly fishing thread, hence my question, "dry or slow sinking?"

It wasn,t very funny the first time. :-?

There is even less humour when it has to be explained. :(

I thought it was an inside joke about telegraphing or fishing with explosives.

I get it now!!!

It went completely over my head.
When I fly fish I use a tapered floating line only.

Occasionly a muddler or clausser style fly but usually a popping bug of some sort.

This is how I catch cold weather bass. I use a trickworm on a 4/0 hook with no weight. Throw it out and let it sit for up to 3 minutes or so. Then just barely drag it about 1-2 foot and let it sit another 2-3 minutes. I am no Roland Martin but I catch bass and thats how I catch em. Tequila Sunrise for dark water, Green Pumpkinseed for clearer water. I always believed that if the fish are lethargic so is the food. Drop shot is a good technique but I typically use it in deep water. Tie the hook off the weight so it is just above the bottom cover.
