Econfina 11/12

Post by Frank Bradfield »

Me & the PFK, hit the water Saturday to find about 25 Pinfish in the trap. We kicked around inshore and caught 3 keeper trout in about an hour. Waited on the wind to give a little and headed out. Never went past 25 ft. Never lost sight of the tree line.Caught 6 keeper grouper, lost 2 nice ones, plenty of shorts. We never went past 25 ft. Some of our buddies had 7 pretty grouper off a rock in 15 ft. ( Jon boat grouper fishers  ) Didn't tear anything up so all in all was a good day. We did bump 3 rocks on idle speed and the skeg guard did its job. Didn't get wet but really wanted too, the water is looking better each trip. Had to head in early , around 3 to beat the tide. Fried backbones on Sunday ! :-D , frank
