Picked up some shrimp from Jerry's and arrived at the lighthouse ramp around 8. Not another vehicle in the lot. The tide was lower than expected due to gusty northwest wind. At the mouth of the canal hung a right straight into a cold wind and spraying waves. Briefly considered returning to the car for comfort of heater but continued to East River where conditions improved. Fished way to levee but no luck. Rendezvoused with buddy eat-mo who was doing well. Caught one fish and then in a flurry four redfish, three sheepshead (two keepers) and one flounder. Eat_mo did even better and took home a heavy cooler.

Good deal, Skag. It was cold and nasty out there.
What was I supposed to do today?

The day was topped off by a good fire in the hearth, exciting football games on the tube, a fine meat loaf dinner, and coaxing the offspring to study for tests. For a wintery day, not too bad.
