Fishing Lore

Post by leonreno »

I've always heard that "90% of the fish live in 10% of the water" and after spending the day cleaning and organizing my fishing gear I now believe that "10% of the fishermen buy 90% of the tackle".

When I saw all that loot at the social I felt like I found out where 90% of the tackle was. All I had to do was toss enough tickets to catch em. I did cash in on some tackle but my conscience also made me give half of it away. I am a tackle junkie. I even took the plunge on fly gear this year. In a word, ouch.

Absolutely. Problem is, the 10 is always changing.

10 % of what they buy

Yes but ask what percentage is essential or important their tackle is and all will say 100% is important AND ESSENTIAL!

AMEN BROTHER!

Tackle companies love me!

Another problem: I can't stand to have just one of anything! :-D

Ain't that the truth, every time I go to buy some new lure I say "I'll get one of these and maybe it will tear them up!! Then I think, "boy it would suck if it works great and I only have one and I lose it to a rock, oyster bar, spanish mackeral, bluefish, etc..., so I should just go ahead and buy two."
