fishing tackle

Post by ragansm1 »

Over the years it seems like a fisherman can accumulate way to many different lures. I checked in my box and found over 40 diferent hard baits and many more plastics. If you had a choice of say 3 of each wonder what you hardcore fisherman would choose for the areas in the big bend. Time for me to get another box or eleminate a few.

I do over 90% of my inshore fishing with Nylures, so my tackle back is pretty barren. I do have a few Mirrolures in there, and a few spoons. Thats about it! I find that I can catch just about anything with a Nylure: trout, reds, flounder, pompano, mackrel, blues, jacks, and last fall I caught my first tarpon on, you guessed it, a Nylure.

A couple different colors of Saltwater assassins, a Cajun Thunder, and a Redfin, thats all I need. Got plenty of different stuff, but thats about all I ever use.

Oh....also a Keaton Secret....if I could find one. 8)

I've heard of the Texas killers. Where can they be purchased? Haven't seen them in any marinas.
