Hey LTC, We got some big boys up here. I use to live and hunt in Selma AL. and killed some nice deer, but not like up here. When the ruts is on it can be awesome. Have you ever hunt osceola turkeys. Up here I got Fish , deer and moose but no turkeys, it can drive guy insane in the spring, cause you know they're gobblin somewhere.

Hit the water at sun up. The weather man told a slight fib here. It was not smooth. Had plans to search for the illustrious RED during the falling tide. Could not come up with any. However first fish caught as a fine 25" Hawg. Did'nt hit real hard. Just sucked up that yellow Catch 2000. :-D That was all for the skinny water. Went out between the two islands. Continued to fish nothing happening. Began to move around trying to find the grass. Finally hit another trout. 18.5" under a Cajun Thunder using a Candy Corn. Continued the drift and caught another about the same size. Thought I was onto something. What a joke. Drifted toward what used to be a Bird rack. Moved back east toward Spring Warrior. Picked a couple THROW BACKS. Finally caught another keeper right at 16.5". Fished hard for another hour or so. My brother caught a nice flounder. Ended the day with 6 keeper trout and one flounder.

Eventhough fishing was slow it was a great way to spend your 44th birthday and not at work :-D
