Short Strike.....I keep a fishing log of all....and I mean all...of my fishing trips. (Back yard don't count) Started in 1966. It has thousands of entries. Gleening through it lately I saw and entry several years ago where I had been fishing 6 out of the past 8 days. I wrote I'm tired of fishing. Gonna lay off for a few days. Next entry was 3 days later. Back at the grind.
In answer to your question: Yes, you can fish too much. I get tired of it when I go day in and day out.. When I do go...after laying off for a few days...it's just as exciting as ever though. :D

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
