Has anyone here heard any news on trout fishing around the Lanark/
Dog Island area? I'd like to try it this weekend but if it's slow I'll
go back to St.Marks.
Fished there last weekend. Caught 10 or so spanish trolling mackeral rigs with spoons on the front side of dog. Went inside and fished fished for a little while close to the shore east of Lanark and caught a couple short trout. I think if you areafter trout you are probably better off fishing out of St. marks. Fished there last wednesday and caught serveral keeper trout in 3 to 4 foot of water east of the lighthouse. Good luck
My nephews went out of Lanark yesterday and caught around 30 They said they only had one short and most of the others went from 18" to 25" Electric Chickin fished slow produced the most fish
