Got to the ramp around 0600 and there was a tourney about to launch. We got out ahead of them and started fishing the pads around the launch with frogs and buzz baits. No takers. I switched to a worm and caught two good ones right off. Soon as the sun came up the bite was over. There was a ton of aligators out. I counted 8 right close to the boat. Lot's of people too. Watched a man catch 10 specs in a short time. Left around noon. Water is about 2' low or so judging by the docks. Can't even get into the West end of the lake with a bass boat.

I spent some time down there some time back..after dark. Had a powerful spotlight...and on the west end....I went 360 degrees in a circle with the light. I got over 200 (I counted them) pair of eyes looking back at me. I couldn't tell what they were....but I will always think many of them were gators. Red as glowing coals. :-?
