Just an observation...any thoughts?

This area is for general discussions about fishing, rigging, baits, etc.

As most of you know, I fish primarily on the east coast. When fishing there, my most productive bait for trout, reds, and other inshore species is live shrimp. When I make the trek over to Steinhatchee and fish for the same species, the most productive baits are artificial. I always buy live shrimp if I can get them, and the larger trout love live pins, but I was just wondering if anyone had any idea why this scenario might be so. I try aritificials on the "wrong side" and rarely catch fish on them.

Food for thought.....

Brad I was looking at your signature line, and thought, "if all the world's a stage," I'd want better directors.
