Took advantage of the conditions and pushed out to about 110' to try out the new chum churn. Results: tiger sharks love chum. Boxed three red snapper, vented and released many that were borderline. Got one king and one trigger fish. Grouper bite was a bit slow, one 24" gag, one 27" red. Played with some 30# AJ's at the Exxon. Highlight of the day was a 42# cobia whose tail stuck out of my 48" cooler. He hit a 2# blue runner on the bottom. Caught the hard tails and some thread fin at the buoys on the way out. The razor bellies are getting thick, making it hard to get the more desirable bait. No bait at either tower we stopped at. Rising tide in the morning, good current flow. Seas 1-2 inshore, flat offshore. Water temp 80.5, great clarity. Good day, minimal sunburn.

Man, Sawbones. Easin on out there. Sounds like a fun day, with a good variety of fish in the box.
What was I supposed to do today?
