New bait coming this Spring

Post by Jumptrout51 »

I have it from a good authority that Bass Assassin is testing a new bait that will replace the GULP bait.
GULP is a phenominal bait. Bass Assassin has created one that is better.

I'm looking for a new bait for 2007, But its got be something nobody uses and doesn't make any sense. This way when I show to others they don't know to believe me or not. That has always been fun, Right JT51.

I think I know what I will use in 2007, It is a silly bait and will be tested in March and April.

My old big baits are great, But I have thown them for two years now and ready for something different.

I love new baits.

Here is a bait I threw a lot in 2003. It is a very productive bait. Used to run $11 to $12 dollars a lure (3.5"). Now they are $6.99 on line.

I stopped throwing them becuase of price and the fact I hate trebble hooks. But I'm going to use some again in 2007.

I can't wait for March. To me that is when the new year begins.

Wait til you see my new baby manatee lures. I'll have instructions on running the hook through the forehead and out the spinal column. 4 inches long.

FoodSource Lures now has a complete line of saltwater baits. Like Gulps, they are biodegradable with dispersing scents in various flavors such as shrimp, jerk baits and blood worms for the NE. They were developed by Auburn University.

I've been field testing the shrimp and jerk bait patterns on reds, with some success. They'll be in New Gear in Salt Water Sportsman in the next couple of months. Not sure who's carrying them locally, if anyone, or the suggested retail. Like Gulps, they are insurance for the days when the fish are finicky and they're still "artificial" for the purists out there.

I own way too many SWAs to even dream about buying Gulp! baits but I got a pack for an Xmas present.

Boated two nice fish on them Sat when nothing else even saw a nibble. The only other fish we caught was on a scrimp. :o :o

I might have to invest in Gulp! baits and a divorce attorney.

As long as it's cheap and it looks like it might catch fish someone somewhere will buy it.
