A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I like to stand when driving the boat but my kill switch lanyard always gets wrapped around the steering shaft and its a PITA.
I just ordered off of Ebay a couple ankle straps (designed for weightlifting) so the kill switch can run south from the dashboard to my ankle/shin. Will report the results if it improves things.
Thought about buying a sufrboard leash but they were pretty expensive.
EDIT: I don't wear shorts with a belt loop when fishing. Use an old dog collar for the ankle strap and it works great.

Or what you can do and may find useful, is to conect it to your bottom machine and set it so that when you get in less than a foot of water it will pull the kill switch and keep you from getting grounded.
All though I'm sure I'll pay for it I just had to.
