  Hey, that first picture almost looks like the Aucilla right below the island. Nice red. And I know where the Wando is- me and Dad used to fish it some in the early 70's but never fished for reds. I remember catching a few trout where the Wando and Cooper River meet
We went up river in his little 14 ft. Jon boat and 9 horse Sears motor. Sometimes a big ship would come by so we had to be careful.

Dixie, we were about 8 or 9 miles up from The Cooper River. We've fished The Cooper a couple of times. It's a different kind of fishing up there. But it's neat to catch those reds.

You're right about the big boats. First trip up there we took a ride down The Cooper to the harbour. Lots of big boats.

TC, we used to go up the Cooper to a place called Cypress Gardens. Great bass fishing and the place had old rice fields everywhere. You may know the place if you have fished the area. I was young but remember it was good fishing. We spent many an hour on Lake Moultrie striper fishing also. Those things fought kinda like big reds. :-D

I've fished out of Cypress Gardens twice. I know where a lot of the old rice fields are. That is a pretty area up there.
