Congrats Atticus. My buddy has the 16 Redfisher and loves it. In my experience, if you fish alone a forward casting platform and a trolling motor will get you close to plenty of redfish in the skinny water. I put an extension arm on my MK55 and it works out perfect. When I fish with a buddy we split time on the poling platform in lieu of the troller. I think we probably get closer to more fish with the push pole but I sure like my electric. I'm registered at the Hewes forum as well. Tons of knowledgeable (and helpful) folks over there. Skip can answer any questions you have about that hull or motor. Your going to love that skiff. BTW get a power pole, trust me.

Congrats again.

Atticus, I don't know you and I'm happy for you. That first keeper in the boat and you'll forget about the cost. The keepers are what it's all about anyway. I look forward to seeing it on the water.....

Let's start adding up what the costs are for that black speedo and associated swimming accessories you have

Great looking boat Luke. You will love it as I do mine. As for the jackplate. Forget it. Read the Hewes fourm and you will see that it does nothing but cause problems on the RF 16.
I just put a powerpole on my RF16 and it's the best money I have spent so far.
I will be down at the beach house this weekend. If your around drop by.

Hey Atticus, sweet

Yea, I just bought a "Key Largo 160" back 07/06/06. I too got all the stuff with it

Unfortunitly I decided to go with the Yamaha 60 (4-stroke).. The 90 may have been a better pick. Heck, maybe it's gonna be alright, I'm just steepin down from 120 Johnson (2 stroke) .
I'd like to post some photo's of my new baby too, but I'm still lacking to smarts to figure out how to use my digital camara an share them on-line. But I'm sure sonner or later I will aquire this "skill"... an bragg-on!!!
