Boat Insurance - Who do you use?

Got a quote from Progressive for my bass boat. 1997 Nitro 884 Savage and they said $350 a year with minimum coverage. I think I pay $157 with USAA and $250 deductible. I'll stick with USAA for now.
I would recommend USAA to anyone eligible. About 5 years ago my wife had a bad accident (got T-boned in the drivers door) and the insurance company was there from beginning to end.

That's exactly the kind of service I received from State Farm..no questions asked. I have previously recommended State Farm and on this forum to boot..... until I did what you did twice in 13 months. You can ask me how I know but then I've already provided it.State Farm. Period. You tell them you hit an oyster bar, why then.....you hit an oyster bar. No questions asked. Ask me how I know. PA, I'VE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH!!!

Just like some of you other fellas said, me, my family, and I have traded with St. Farm since as far back as i can remember.. I did have a situation happen several yrs ago were I had some vandelism on a car, twice within a couple months. I too got that mail out sayin if'n I was to use my policy, Id be discontinued. I was estatic !! I then spoke with Ray Willis he's my agent in Tallahassee. If I remember right I believe he said that "that letter was just sent out automatically from the distric office" fortunitly I didn't need it anymore the rest of that yr.
In the past yrs my wife has wrecked a few vehicals, but State farm has been good to us
an yes, I too have my boat on my policy but fortunitly enough I haven't needed it

By the way BK it's good to hear from you. I appreciate you sharing your State Farm experience. Like your case, my wife and I had had perhaps 3 claims over the years (car related with very good service) and I figured that if I communicated with them directly that something would be worked out. I went to my agent. There was a call placed to the underwriter. We all spoke in conference. The underwriter did NOT want to budge no matter how much my Agent lobbied on my behalf, which was significant. He(underwritter) finally said OK.. we'll insure you again, but the deductable will be $1000
(from $250) and the yearly premium was going to go up as well. As I previously stated, I wrote a letter to the district agency field executive explaining what had happened to that point and expressing my desire to remain with State Farm and the 43 year history of my business with them. I CC'd the Lakeland office along with my local agent. I received a reply from my agent but as of this writting,(its been a year and a half) no response was ever received from the individual to whom the letter was sent.

ALL YA HAVE TO DO IS CHECK THE COURT HOUSE RECORDS AND YOU WILL FIND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE THEY HAVE TRIED TO SCREW OUT OF LEGITIMENT CLAIMS. THEY THINK MOST PEOPLE WILL TAKE WHATEVER IS OFFERED REGUARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES. WHEN YOU GET AN ATTORNEY THEN THEY START MAKING SOME REALISTIC OFFERS, WHEN THEY FIND YOU ARE TAKING THEM TO COURT , THEN THEY GET REAL. SHOULD JUST MAKE THE PAYMENT TO START OFF AND THEN WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO THREATEN THEM WITH SUITS OF $100'S OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO GET WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY COMING TO YOU. THEY ARE STILL A CRUMMY COMPANY.
