Thanks a lot for the replies everybody.
I check back here every day or so. Please keep them coming!
Some of the boats I am considering:
1. Pathfinder 2200v. More money than I want to pay.
2. Cape Horn 22 Bay. Seems like a good deal, I hate those plastic hatches.
3. Sea Pro SV2100.
4. Triton Bay Flight.

Get a Contender-only boat I will ever own. Probably because I can never afford another one

Not from this area, but I have a 20 Grady White Cuddy with a soon to be installed 200 4 Stroke Yamaha.

I have fished the boat offshore NC, the Cheseapeake Bay, Offshore Va, and of course in the Gulf. I have used it for countless species of saltwater fish in all kinds of conditions. I love it.

I have had great luck with my 1983 246 Aquasport. It now has it's 4th outboard on it a 250 Yamaha. Sort of cold and damp like all center consoles. If I was going to buy a new one I'd probably get a cuddy or walk around. For shallow a little open skiff of the myriad types will do. The aluminum tunnel hulls will go pretty near anywhere and you don't have to spend so much to get one.

I have had a 18.5' Scout with 115 Yamaha for a couple of years and its great for inshore and limited offshore. I can trim the motor up and run in a couple of feet of water. Great quality!

I have a 22' Chris Craft. It's a CC and it is very dry for a CC. I have had it out several times. The last was the only time I got wet and it was 4-5' This boat is apparently rare as I haven't seen anymore of these around.
