I guess I will trace the wires as far as I can and make sure they are fine, don't think I can trace them to far but I will try. Might give the dip stick thingy a try, probably would work.

For the most part we never get near empty but two things make me want to know the fuel amount better, one we would like to do some offshore fishing (at least near offshore anyway) and two it would be nice to run the gas near empty once in awhile to clear old gas out.

Floscan fuel meter is the ticket. You can enter your gas amount at fill up, and it will track fuel burn, or you can just monitor how much fuel is burned. Once you do it once you know how much you have. It's accurate to the drop.
