If you want a Power Tech prop, order it from Bob's Machine shop direct... He sells the polished ones (4 blade accellator ) for $350 + 12 drop shipping , and tax to FL... not too bad of a deal overall. Maybe you can get that plate at the same time

. I would have one on my boat if it weren't for the already tight squeeze getting the boat in the garage.

Well, Propco has a 3 blade for $280 that I want to try. Peter has been a boating engineer for 50 years, and seemed very knowledgable to me.
He agrees that a 40 4 stroke will not do much better on hole shot going to a 4 blade, because of the low end torgue being weak.
He seemed to have no hesitation in suggesting what should work. A 12X11 is what he thinks will give me better hole shot and increase my rpms.
After that I will see if I want to try a Bob's plate.
