The boat is the "Wet Jet", a 17' Monark alum. / 40 hp Merc Jet foot, that previously belonged to another forum member. He bought my 21' Sea Pro bay and I took this boat on trade as part of the deal. Since then, I have been hanging out in very shallow water around the Aucilla, Econfina and Hickory Mound areas, catching a lot of fish.

Here's a pic of the boat when it was new in 2002 (it's not this pristine anymore).

Every time I have been to the Aucilla so far, I have had at least one boat, and sometimes two try to follow me down or up river. My advice would be DON'T. This boat runs real shallow due to the jet motor, and I have already bumped it off a few rocks myself.

You will hear me coming long before you see me. It is very loud (like running your outboard on the garden hose at high rpm's) and not all that fast, about 25 mph cruise speed, which is faster than you want to hit any given rock anyhow I am finding out.

I see now that you are in the UK. Say "Hello" to Cranfield for us, he's our local UK connection.

Nice website you have in your signature. That carp that Nick is holding in your July 2007 event pics is the fattest one I've ever seen.
