I believe the depth is between 15/20 ft depending on the tide. I bet this weekend would be awesome with the current cold snap coming through.
Just be aware that it can get pretty rough through the pass. A combo of offshore boat wakes, gulf winds, and a pretty strong current can make it nasty.
