Well, here we go. Top of the 9th and down by 5.......if we could at least get a runner in (stranded 13 so far

) we might stand a chance...

Well, there's nothing like being remembered for the most runs given up in a CWS inning (11) and most runners left on base (17). That will definately get you 2 and done......
Funny to say, but I actually liked the fact that #11 didn't shake hands at the end of the game

Might be wrong; but, I don't think Martin has shook Jim Morris' hand since the whole signal stealing incident a few years ago. Some real bad blood.

Best and worst thing about the baseball...it's a whole lot to do with streaks...who's hot at the right time...etc. I didn't by any means watch a lot of FSU. From what I saw, they seemed to have just enough pitching to get them there; but, not enough to get over the hump.

It appears over the years, 11 has problems preparing for teams he knows little about.

maybe....but 11 aint got nothing to do with bats not making contact in the post season (Omaha) when it counts. For the most part, I think 11 did a good job calling the 2 games in Omaha. When you only score 5 runs in both your games, you're not going to win much, especially when your pitching is not top notch. I agree that we had just enough to get to Omaha, but not enough to advance and it showed

11's Achilles Heel is the amount of baserunners left on base. It's pathetic, he is a super guy...he's just snakebit when it comes to Omaha

I guess there's just not enough "POISE"...oh well, maybe 14 is his lucky number. Doubt it, but you never know.
ESPN just can't say it enough about FSU leaving 27 runners on base in their 2 games

Trying to be objective and not give appearance of being critical or question the Team's leadership which I've heard nothing but great things about. I agree with E'man relative to pitching........wins championships. Been keeping an eye their progress most of the season and heard discussions lately about strength of pitching staff to seriously compete in the Show. That said, stranding a lot of runners and only scoring 5 runs in two games by the number one offensive team in the Nation (I think I read/heard that) won't get you very far without great pitching.
They had a great regular season and did a good job fighting back in the regionals and super regionals. Congrats on a good year and look forward to next year!
