I am fortunate enough to be kin to Uncle Benji. He was quite a remarkable person and made some spectacular vessels. His father was also a writer and a wrote a number of different books including "Deathwatch" and "Up Periscope" among others. Both are recommended reads should you have the chance.
His sister June (Bailey White) wrote a couple of books as well, the first, "Mama Makes Up Her Mind" is a compilation of stories about growing up on Susina and life in the South. Very entertaining and makes for great conversation. This region lost a very special person when he passed away. Fortunately he left a number of boats and memories speckled throughout the South. He will be remembered by plenty.
Woopty - I don't believe that he is of any kin toRalph White of Blountstown, but I could be wrong.
Yellow Dog - Where do you work with part of the family??
