Neither. The bait pods were all over in the KB channel, some were too small but most were good size. Just spot them while you idle around. I actually spotted the school we netted while I was putting the boat in at the marina. They make dimples on the water surface and occassionally skip on the surface. They will swim right to the boat if you dont spook them.
