That's what I would do. I had 2 metal tanks that went with my boat that had 12 year old gas in them. 6 gallons each....FULL. That's $50 worth of gas these days. I filled up my Geo 2 1/2 times with them and she ran like a charm...never missed a cylinder. Just a little extra upper cylinder lube...that's all.
