I have a 1197 Humminbird. You would be amazed what that thing will show you. Take a ride up the east river with me some time. You can set it on whatever distance to each side you want. At 150' you are seeing 300' of the bottom at one time. If you scale down to about 50' each side you can see a crab hanging on the wire on the side of a crab trap. The trap and line are clearly visible.

you can see every rock or little ledge and all the suspended fish

It has changed my fishing for the better

Now those grouper on those little ledges are in real trouble

I gotta say it, I think I will have to change my shorts after googling them and seeing the price. There may have been some seepage.

I drive a garbage scowl that is about a new creek boat.

That and a new powerpole with the remote and I would have to shell out about $4500.00

I ain't poor but I sho ain't rich either. Still would be kinda cool though.

Yea they are pricy

I paid more for the humminbird than I did for my inshore boat

but I also use it on my offshore fishing boat

and what you can find with it out there where we grouper fish is unreal

every time I go I find new spots

I can't wait for this winter and grouper trolling season. I have a plan

Inshore you can ride by those oyster bars and see where those reds are consentrated

the remarkable thing about it is you can cursor over to the spot where you are marking the fish and save it as a waypoint on your gps. It really works
