I think our country is trying and in most ways has moved past many issues of race. Our new president is proof of that. It was white America that elected him combined with the usual 99.98% of the black vote that votes Democrat anyway. Regardless, Americans spoke and we have our new president. I hope Obama can deliver on what he promised without killing big business in America by moving us towards socialism. I also hope he keeps our military strong. Now that he is privy to what Bush sees everyday by getting the same security briefings, I think his tune is going to change a bit. I'll support him when he's right, and criticize him when he's wrong.....just like the current prez.
Palin did not doom the Republican ticket this year. McCain did. He wanted Lieberman, not Palin. His choice of Lieberman would have made this election look like Reagan-Mondale from '84. The Republicans will never win without their base (conservatives) and Palin was the only reason they has to unite under McCain. Like I've said, McCain couldn't even beat Bush back in 2000. Look at the other clowns that cloudn't either. Palin is criticized because she is not a politician. Thank God!!!! She speaks her mind without worrying about who she is going to offend. She'll be back in 2012, and hopefully by then, the Reps will have "thinned the herd" even more by then
I'm done with politics and ready to go hunting......and then maybe fishing
