The north wind indicates a cold front and rapid barometric pressure change. I think that may have had something to do with the bite shutting down.

That sounds alot like a trip me and Welby had at Spring Warrior 3 or 4 years ago. Same month, almost the same kind of bait, same conditions. The big trout turned on like a light switch! Big ones, too. One of the best trips ever.
