Most radios made today have a scan feature. You can choose and preset what channels you want to scan. This allows you to monitor as many channels as you like.
What was I supposed to do today?

One day I will be down on the same day you are so you can show me how you do it.Breambuster wrote:Just got back from Keaton. I will post a full report tomorrow but hope some of yall who're going tomorrow will see this.
The fishing was tough the last two days, not just from us but from most of the other guys I spoke to as well. We didnt get on the water until 11 am yesterday and started catching a few fish right away but the bite was hard to come by later in the afternoon. The water temperature was 84 when we started fishing and hit 88 when we quite at around 5 pm. Today, we left the dock at 6.30 am (outgoing tide, low at 11.30 am) and the fish were bitting good right away. As like yesterday, the fishing were slower toward noon but we still getting hits until around 2 pm or so when they completely quit. The water temp was 82 in the morning and hit 87 when we quit at 3.20 pm. We were expecting the bite to be good at the time we decide to quit as the water was moving good with the incoming tide. We give up catching the last fish for our limit after not getting a bite for more than an hour of throwing choice pinfish.
So...... for those of you who are going tomorrow, I would suggest you to start early and catch your fish before the water gets too warm. The water was fairly clean but starting to have a slight stain on it at Dekal (sp?) Beach and was very stained pass Yates and north. BTW, dont forget to bring enough sunscreen and bottle water. It was almost unbearable hot out there.

Will a Uniden Solara do that? And if so how?tin can wrote:Most radios made today have a scan feature. You can choose and preset what channels you want to scan. This allows you to monitor as many channels as you like.

Here's a link to Uniden's web site info for the Solara. It gives you a link to the owners manual.
http://www.uniden.com/products/productd ... ed%20Mount
From what I read, the Solara has an "All Channel Scan" setting, but does not allow you to choose what channels you want to scan.
