Hey CS,
Can you find out how much it would run per month to keep a 27' boat down at Keaton? They still have racks and forklift them into the water don't they?

So Chris a 27 is what you decided on. How much time do you have left over there.

I think that is what we are going to get. I don't know if I can keep it at Keaton though. It gets mighty shallow in the winter time.

The 1st time I used the lift with my new to me Cape horn, the guy put the forward strap too far forward and dropped my boat.

Luckily for them it landed perfectly back on the bunks and didn't even scratch the gelcoat.

Thanks Dew. Now I know I go somewhere else until the ramp is open. Besides I refuse to pay that much, and have to wait for someone to open before I want to go.

He was very apologetic and didn't charge me in or out.

(I was with one of my redneck South Georgia friends at the time and the brakes on his tongue don't work as good as mine, if ya' know what I mean)

The first time I went to Keaton I had a Champion bass boat. The rear of the boat angles toward the motor. The guy picked it up and the strap slid off of the hull and hung on the motor. Talk about pucker! I was glad that it didn't slip off of the bow though.

Chugbug, They do have a fork lift and fenced-in storage. The storage is $30. a month if you leave it on the trailer. The fork lift will not lift off the trailer. If you leave it in dry storage racks, the lift will take it off the racks and put it in the water for you. Dry storage is $135. a month.
You can get out even in the winter low tides. St. Marks might be better for launching, but it's most likey more expensive for storage

Thanks CS. Thats cheaper than I thought it would be. The only concern I have is the boat is an inboard. I wont be able to tilt the engine up. It might be alright though.

I have no Idea about that, never owned one. There are a lot of inboards in the racks there. They even got a shrimp boat dry docked there working on it. So I'd say they can move some big boats with the equipment they have.

Thats true. I had forgotton about the shrimp boats. Those things must draft 24" at least.
