I was driving down I-10 near Madison when my wife called me and told me. She worked in a TV station that did only news. I thought she was nuts. Stopped at the Hardees at hwy 14 where I sat for the next hour and half watching TV in amazement. Will never forget that feeling that day. I think some of America has forgotten and it is sad. After that the country came together in a way that had not been seen since the World Wars.

Then we wind up electing a muslem to run the country, unbeiavable!!!!

All I hear these days is how fed up everyone is with the politics that are going on today.

Hopefully when the elections come around next time we will remember the actions of all of our elected officials and vote them all out and start over. Something has to get through to these people.

Freshman year, Ft. Pierce Westwood in English class when it happened. It was an in school online assisted class so we all found out about it as soon as the news broke.

I was at work on the net and phone with my mom and my wife ..giving people in the plant play by play of what was going on

I worked for NY Governor Pataki and was on the way to my office in Albany when the first plane hit. As you can imagine my phone started going crazy. Got to the office in record time and gathered several folks to watch the coverage on the cable news networks as we ramped up into disaster mode. I have to admit I knew it was terrorism as soon as I saw the hole in the WTC. If you have ever been to the WTC - really been there - standing at the base of one of the towers and/or at Windows - you knew too as soon as you saw that hole. No way had an errant commuter made that hole. Then all hope that I just might be wrong was lost as we saw the live feed of the other jet striking the other tower.

To be perfectly honest the next couple months are a bit blurry for me as we dealt with ground zero, all of the anthrax sites and victims in NY and then Flight 587 going down on the Island right after take off. Moved my family to Tallahassee in Feb of 02.

My guys were pouring a slab in Piney Z, and the foreman had his radio blaring as it unfolded. I was not too far from home, so I went and watched the news for an hour or so. Loaded a few guns, put them in the truck (just in case ) and went back to work.

I was on Jury duty @ the court house in Gwinnett county Georgia.

I was on vacation in Paris, France. Having a brew at a bar floating on the Siene. I saw plane fly in to the tower on a TV over the bar. I had to walk past the Louvre to get to my hotel, but the French military had the palace already surronded with troops and armoured cars. I crossed street to get back to hotel, and halfway across a French trooper saw me, turned towards me and leveled a assault weapon in my dircestion and shook his head NO. I doubled back and detoured many blocks to get to hotel. It took an extra week to get home, spent sitting at airport on standby .

I was trying to get to Gulf Power in Lynn Haven Fl. to perform a fire sprinkler inspection with the fire marshall. As we approached the entrance the gate slammed shut and two guards run out to the truck and told us that we had to vacate the premisses imediately, shortly thereafter we heard on the radio what had happened and was shocked to say the least. We drove back to Panama City where we went to Barnhills to try and find a TV to see what was going on. We sat there for a hour in awe.

I was driving to work when my wife called me on the cell phone crying. As we were talking, the 2nd plane flew into the other tower. Got the office and watched some via the internet before the internet pretty much shut down due to the traffic. Wife called an hour later wanting to know if we should go get the kids out of school and look for a place to hide. Scary day.

Funny how so many have forgotten though.
