****** NEWS FLASH ******

Sources state that Barack Obama has just received the nomination for NFGFC Angler of the Year in ALL 3 categories! He is yet to actually fish a tournament, or catch a fish period, but his intended effort was enough to sway the point standings. Also, don't bother showing up for the November tournament as that one has also been wrapped up in advance

So far his Hope,Change and wanna does for the good 'ol USA has put the country into non-recoverable debt and a recession that is getting worse not better.
Wasn't it the Bush administartion that started us down that road? I mean, I'm pretty sure that ole Bushy boy was still in office when the first bail-out plan was passed.
Actually, the period of time upon which B HUSSEIN OBAMA was adjudged for his award nomination only included the first 11 days of his presidential term. Sorry, but I think during that time "W" had vacated the office of President and was back in Texas. I do recall B HUSSEIN OBAMA signing a proclamation to shut down Gitmo......hmmmmm.....how long ago was that?
RHTFISH, you got to give Obama credit -- he did SOOOO much in those first eleven days! He partied with pop singers while becoming the first president in 50 years to ignore honoring Medal of Honor recipients, approved federal funding for abortions, and skipped church every opportunity he had! Doesn't that warrant some kind of reward?
Is it beyond reason to think that maybe his actions before the term began had anything to do with it?

I read the entire linked article, red yakker... didn't see anything that I believe are actually "actions" identified... :smt012

Grant you there's sure lots of cheap talk... "The Committee has attached special importance to Obama's vision", "Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics", "Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts", "The vision of a world free from nuclear threat", "Thanks to Obama's initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened..."

But the line that clearly gives away that the award is not actually for any actual result is this one.... "Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future".

Yep, the award was given for mere repeated vague utterances of, "HOPE! CHANGE! YES WE CAN!".

And lest you think this is just my radical opinion, bet you didn't know the majority of the Nobel committee didn't support the nomination. Here's a link from the AFP that tells the story.

Yes, he wasn't much of a community organizer, he did little while a member of the Illinois house and less as a Senator. His comments on college football playoffs come closer to qualifying him for the Heisman than his body of work does to qualify him for a Nobel. Smoke some more dope and give this some thought. :smt005
