I was told that the 80lb thrust is build allot sturdier that the 70lb model in the Minn Kota. I cannot support that because I got a 24v 80lb 2 months ago and its been in the shop for the last 3 weeks due to a board issue. :smt010

I was told it was the main circut board and the marine repair center I bought it from is telling me the board has not made ups. This weekend will be the third weekend without. I am In a position to ask if maybe we can consider getting a new one off the shelf since I bought this one two months ago. Just struggling to stay civil while the reds go wild!

Don't fail to look into the "Auto Pilot" feature on the Minn-Kota! It will run a line and auto steer against wind and tide!!! More time casting, less time steering...wish I had one!
