There are three trueism when dealing with boats and saltwater:

1. There is no such thing as the perfect do it all boat.

2. There will be times in the saltwater boating when you just don't feel like you have enough boat.

3. There will be times in saltwater boating when you KNOW that you have too much boat.

Don't ask me how I know, just trust me. :-)

Thanks, Tidedancer

and to everyone else for the warm welcome,

This seems to be a great, no non -sense site with some good people sharing their knowledge. I hope to be a positive member to the forum.

some of the handles on here are familar to me from some other forums,I view, could be be same people.

The only thing that will take a little getting use to is so many people have the same Avaitar for being a Site Sponsor, I am use to just looking at the picture and not the name below.

I don't know when you left Douglasville, but it sure has grown in the last few years.

Now Whitesburg is the big city, I use to have a house down there on Snake Creek.

Thanks for the note from someone familar with my area.

I still go from time to time. My parents live on Dog River. They got hit pretty hard a few weeks ago, but it missed the house at least.
