out of all the money our government has wasted on boom placement/removal, at least this was money was used to try and protect our lovely coast. That goal is significantly more valuable, at least to me, then most of the other objectives pursued in the course of creating a trillion dollar defict.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Yeah, like the turtle tunnel they're building at Lake Jackson NW. I'm okay with the concept of the turtle ecopassage, but hey, do we really need a 5-foot-high sheet-pile wall? :o Can turtles really jump that high? :roll:
