Re: MATANZAS INLET PALM COAST FLA QUESTIONS
Hit the ICW and fish. Running the beaches or in/out of the pass much in a Carolina Skiff is not something you're gonna want to do much but have at it, if that's what you want to do.
I fish there 3-4 times a year but find a drink in my hand more often than a fishing rod.

couldn't pass the sandbars fished the dock (Redfish) tons of bullminnows & mullet in canal just before high take a case net. You should be able to push that Carolina Skiff over the sandbars thuough, wish I had taken mine instead of the big center console

Staying at Cresent Beach next week. We fish the area most of the time. Where is this "canal" you speak of that you can walk down the bank at? We hardly ever catch much fish during the hot times of the year. Would love to finally catch a few fish.

Can't find where my post went. Hope I don't double up. Where is the "canal" that you can walk the bank and fish. I will be going to that area next week. We fish every year but don't catch much. Sure would like to catch some fish instead of having to sit around the beach in the sun.
any help would be appreciated.

Go just past the Summer Haven sign theres a gated comunnity on the right, next to the gate theres a dirt road that goes to a dirt ramp and jetty. This is the canal. I saw many people fishing on the jetty. Also there are tidal pools here at low tide that people where catching mullet with cast nets. Hope this helps
