Great read CSMarine. Love hearing older stories about the area. You've got talent for sure!

Thanks Capt.
It makes it easier to write when your passionate about something. I am extremly passionate about the Gulf and the rivers, creeks and wetlands in our area. Almost every spot on the St. Marks, Aucilla and Econfina has a place in my heart. My grandparents ran the old fish camp on the Aucilla River. My aunt owned the canoe rental place at the base of the Newport bridge until a couple years ago. My grandparents used to run the little bait store at Shell Point. My Aunts ran the resturant there. My uncles owned two crab processing plants on hwy. 98 as your coming into Perry. JR's. Grocery and Gas at the Aucilla bridge was built by my Uncle Jr. My foster mother owns Bo Lynn's Store in St. Marks.
My family has been making a living off the Gulf coast for five generations. How could I help but be passionate about it.

Great read CSMarine. I too enjoy reading about our region's history. From your last post, looks like you are deeply embedded in it :-D
