You could say I caught the inshore versions on Spook-like plugs. Names have been changed to protect the fishery, but I like to throw Boney Maroney, Slimey Limey, and Stinky Pinky. Most were caught on Spook Junior-sized plugs like the one I call Dinky Winky. Now I have to get me one like yours so I can call it Bluefer Twofer.

The Zara Spook, Super Spook and Super Spook JR have always had a place in my tackle box. The more it looks like a mullet, the better.

I've always been a fan of Top Dogs as well but lately a One Knocker or Rattlin' Spook is getting hard to beat. Bomber also has a pretty good looking new bait that is like a cross between a Top Dog and Skitter Walk, TD shape and SW sound, deadly too.

The more it looks like a wounded mullet the better.

A "Smokey Joe", like this one (except in white color) has always been my favorite topwater...but I'm learning something new every day.

Yep, but also found the plastic replicas work about as well and are cheaper.

I'll second the accolades for Hall 'em In Lures. They are handcrafted by Floridians out of Spanish cedar and are finished with two coats of primer, great finishes and two coats of epoxy, plus extra-strong hardware. Even better, they catch fish. The B-52 is the Spook counterpart, although I've had great luck with the Boca Bite, Peanut and Ripper as well on everything from snook, redfish, trout, jacks and bluefish.

Yes, they do cost a little more, but quality craftsmanship and results are worth it, IMO. Here's proof:
