More than likely the fort and that ain't where you're talking about.
The fort is about half down the river from the 98 bridge and the light house (or at least looks it on Google Maps.)

the one i looked at had a i think a floating dock down there with a good bit of parking, i took a left right before that bridge and it seemed like it was about a 10 min ride down to the landing there.i believe there was a 5$ fee for the area to get in too unless you had a season pass?

I agree. There are a couple of issues with that ramp. The first being that it is quite a ways from the mouth of the river. Secondly, it is virtually impossible to launch a decent sized boat on a low tide as the ramp stops....and there is about a 2ft drop from where it stops to the bottom of the river. Not trailer friendly on a low to say the least. I know.

Very cold water.

Correction from my last post. Forgot you were coming from Perry. That would be the St. Marks Lighthouse landing. Or the "basin" as some call it. It is an excellent ramp, but also and issue on a negative tide due to lack of water.

NFGFC will be the 9th and the shootout is the 16th.

Thanks Ashley. I'll add it to the calendar. And from what I hear the Redfish Trout Shootout is looking at other dates so hold on.
