And all this time I thought everyone giving me the middle-finger salute meant "A-1 job, Dude".

Memorial Day weekend, Opening weekend of scallop season, July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend are what I refer to as "Amateur Weekends". If I do go boating on those weekends I usually don't encounter any problems when launching. Not many folks at the ramp at 0530. If I'm on a schedule I allow an hour for loading.
I have thought about taking a chair, umbrella and cooler, setting up by a public ramp on a busy holiday weekend, and putting up a sign that says "Free Launch and Load Lessons".

Port St Joe city ramp on July 4th. All I can say is if you have not seen it, you should come down and check it out. It's good stuff!!

St. Joe lacks a decent staging area assuming anyone would use it.
